Explanation of the Verse:
Have these people who reject the messengers and deny the resurrection not paused to reflect deeply upon themselves — upon their own creation, their own existence, and the intricate design of their very being? Do they not realize that they were nothing, and then Allah brought them into existence?
Allah did not create the heavens and the earth and everything between them as a meaningless play or without purpose. Rather, He created them with absolute truth and justice — to demonstrate His perfect power and oneness, and to establish a system of reward and punishment. Everything in this universe operates with wisdom, and it will all come to an appointed end: the Day of Judgment. This world is not eternal; it has a fixed term that will inevitably arrive.
Yet, despite all these clear signs, many people deny the meeting with their Lord. They turn away from the reality of the Hereafter, living as if this worldly life is all there is. They are heedless of the fact that they will stand before their Creator to be held accountable for their deeds. Because they deny this meeting, they fail to prepare for it with righteous actions that please their Lord.
A Call to Reflection and Faith:
Dear reader, pause for a moment and look at yourself — at the miracle of your own existence. Your heartbeat, your breath, the intricate systems within your body that function without your conscious command — all of this is a sign from your Creator. If you can trust that this magnificent universe was not created in vain, then you must also trust that your life has a purpose far greater than mere worldly pursuits.
The heavens and the earth were not created as a joke. They were created with truth, and they will come to an end at a time known only to Allah. On that Day, every soul will be recompensed for what it earned. Do not be among those who deny this meeting, for such denial only harms the one who denies. Open your heart to the truth, reflect on the signs around you and within you, and prepare for the meeting with your Lord — the meeting that is certain, the meeting that will determine your eternal destiny.
Let this reflection lead you to gratitude, to humility, and to righteous action. For the One who created you with such perfection is surely capable of bringing you back to life after death. And His promise is true — so do not let this world deceive you, and do not let your desires blind you from the ultimate truth.
