Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

Do not let it grieve you or cause you sorrow.
Their return and final destination.
Then We will inform them and make known to them.
What lies within the breasts (hearts), i.e., the innermost secrets and intentions.

Tafsir (Explanation):

O Messenger of Allah, if someone chooses disbelief after the truth has been made clear to them, do not let their rejection weigh heavily upon your heart. You have fulfilled your noble duty — you delivered the message with sincerity and conveyed the guidance entrusted to you. Their disbelief does not harm you in the least, nor does it diminish the truth you brought.

Their ultimate destination is not in your hands — it is to Allah alone that they shall return, whether in this life or the Hereafter. On that Day, Allah will lay bare everything they did in this world: every word, every deed, every hidden intention. He will confront them with the reality of their actions — the evil they committed, the truth they rejected, and the arrogance they displayed — and then He will recompense them with perfect justice.

Indeed, Allah knows what is concealed within the hearts and what lies hidden in the depths of the chest. Nothing escapes His knowledge — not a fleeting thought, not a secret intention, not even the whisper of the soul. He knows the disbelief that lingers in their hearts and the preference they gave to obeying Satan over obeying their Lord.

So take comfort, dear believer, in this profound truth: your duty is only to convey, and the judgment belongs to Allah alone. Let this verse fill your heart with tranquility and your soul with certainty. For the One who knows all secrets is the One who will settle all accounts — and His justice is absolute, His wisdom is perfect, and His promise is true. So do not grieve over those who turn away; rather, focus on your own steadfastness, and trust that Allah's reckoning is near and His recompense is certain.

📜 Verse 21-25 — Luqman

And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that upon which we found our fathers." Even if Satan was inviting them to the punishment of the Blaze?
And whoever submits his face to Allah while he is a doer of good - then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold. And to Allah will be the outcome of [all] matters.
And whoever has disbelieved - let not his disbelief grieve you. To Us is their return, and We will inform them of what they did. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts.
We grant them enjoyment for a little; then We will force them to a massive punishment.
And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and earth?" they would surely say, "Allah." Say, "[All] praise is [due] to Allah "; but most of them do not know.
