Surah As-Saffat — Verse 77

Explanation of the Verse:

In this noble verse, Allah Almighty informs us of His great favor upon His Prophet Noah (peace be upon him). After the devastating flood that drowned the disbelieving people of Noah — those who rejected his call and mocked his message — Allah made the descendants of Noah the ones who survived and remained on earth. The entire human race that came after the flood traces its lineage back to Noah and his believing family and followers. Thus, Allah preserved through Noah's progeny the continuation of humanity, and from them sprang all the nations and peoples of the world thereafter.
