وَالصَّافَّاتِ صَفًّا ۝١
📖 Translation Verse 1
By those [angels] lined up in rows
فَالزَّاجِرَاتِ زَجْرًا ۝٢
📖 Translation Verse 2
And those who drive [the clouds]
فَالتَّالِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا ۝٣
📖 Translation Verse 3
And those who recite the message,
إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ ۝٤
📖 Translation Verse 4
Indeed, your God is One,
رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ الْمَشَارِقِ ۝٥
📖 Translation Verse 5
Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises.
إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ الْكَوَاكِبِ ۝٦
📖 Translation Verse 6
Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars
وَحِفْظًا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ مَّارِدٍ ۝٧
📖 Translation Verse 7
And as protection against every rebellious devil
لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى الْمَلَإِ الْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍ ۝٨
📖 Translation Verse 8
[So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side,
دُحُورًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَاصِبٌ ۝٩
📖 Translation Verse 9
Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment,
إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ الْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ ۝١٠
📖 Translation Verse 10
Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness].
فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَا ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُم مِّن طِينٍ لَّازِبٍ ۝١١
📖 Translation Verse 11
Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay.
بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ ۝١٢
📖 Translation Verse 12
But you wonder, while they mock,
وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا لَا يَذْكُرُونَ ۝١٣
📖 Translation Verse 13
And when they are reminded, they remember not.
وَإِذَا رَأَوْا آيَةً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ ۝١٤
📖 Translation Verse 14
And when they see a sign, they ridicule
وَقَالُوا إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ ۝١٥
📖 Translation Verse 15
And say, "This is not but obvious magic.
أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ ۝١٦
📖 Translation Verse 16
When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?
أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ ۝١٧
📖 Translation Verse 17
And our forefathers [as well]?"
قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَاخِرُونَ ۝١٨
📖 Translation Verse 18
Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible."
فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ ۝١٩
📖 Translation Verse 19
It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing.
وَقَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ ۝٢٠
📖 Translation Verse 20
They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense."
هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ ۝٢١
📖 Translation Verse 21
[They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny."
۞ احْشُرُوا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَأَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ ۝٢٢
📖 Translation Verse 22
[The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship
مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ فَاهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطِ الْجَحِيمِ ۝٢٣
📖 Translation Verse 23
Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire
وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُم مَّسْئُولُونَ ۝٢٤
📖 Translation Verse 24
And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned."
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ ۝٢٥
📖 Translation Verse 25
[They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?"
بَلْ هُمُ الْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ ۝٢٦
📖 Translation Verse 26
But they, that Day, are in surrender.
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ ۝٢٧
📖 Translation Verse 27
And they will approach one another blaming each other.
قَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ الْيَمِينِ ۝٢٨
📖 Translation Verse 28
They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right."
قَالُوا بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ ۝٢٩
📖 Translation Verse 29
The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers,
وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَانٍ ۖ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا طَاغِينَ ۝٣٠
📖 Translation Verse 30
And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people.
فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَا ۖ إِنَّا لَذَائِقُونَ ۝٣١
📖 Translation Verse 31
So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment].
فَأَغْوَيْنَاكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَاوِينَ ۝٣٢
📖 Translation Verse 32
And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators."
فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ ۝٣٣
📖 Translation Verse 33
So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment.
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ ۝٣٤
📖 Translation Verse 34
Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals.
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ ۝٣٥
📖 Translation Verse 35
Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant
وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُو آلِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَّجْنُونٍ ۝٣٦
📖 Translation Verse 36
And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?"
بَلْ جَاءَ بِالْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ ۝٣٧
📖 Translation Verse 37
Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers.
إِنَّكُمْ لَذَائِقُو الْعَذَابِ الْأَلِيمِ ۝٣٨
📖 Translation Verse 38
Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment,
وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ۝٣٩
📖 Translation Verse 39
And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do -
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ ۝٤٠
📖 Translation Verse 40
But not the chosen servants of Allah.
أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَّعْلُومٌ ۝٤١
📖 Translation Verse 41
Those will have a provision determined -
فَوَاكِهُ ۖ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ ۝٤٢
📖 Translation Verse 42
Fruits; and they will be honored
فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ ۝٤٣
📖 Translation Verse 43
In gardens of pleasure
عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَابِلِينَ ۝٤٤
📖 Translation Verse 44
On thrones facing one another.
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ ۝٤٥
📖 Translation Verse 45
There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring,
بَيْضَاءَ لَذَّةٍ لِّلشَّارِبِينَ ۝٤٦
📖 Translation Verse 46
White and delicious to the drinkers;
لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ ۝٤٧
📖 Translation Verse 47
No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated.
وَعِندَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ عِينٌ ۝٤٨
📖 Translation Verse 48
And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes,
كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌ مَّكْنُونٌ ۝٤٩
📖 Translation Verse 49
As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected.
فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ ۝٥٠
📖 Translation Verse 50
And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other.
قَالَ قَائِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ إِنِّي كَانَ لِي قَرِينٌ ۝٥١
📖 Translation Verse 51
A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth]
يَقُولُ أَإِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُصَدِّقِينَ ۝٥٢
📖 Translation Verse 52
Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe
أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ ۝٥٣
📖 Translation Verse 53
That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'"
قَالَ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ ۝٥٤
📖 Translation Verse 54
He will say, "Would you [care to] look?"
فَاطَّلَعَ فَرَآهُ فِي سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ ۝٥٥
📖 Translation Verse 55
And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire.
قَالَ تَاللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرْدِينِ ۝٥٦
📖 Translation Verse 56
He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me.
وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنتُ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ ۝٥٧
📖 Translation Verse 57
If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell].
أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ ۝٥٨
📖 Translation Verse 58
Then, are we not to die
إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا الْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ ۝٥٩
📖 Translation Verse 59
Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?"
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ ۝٦٠
📖 Translation Verse 60
Indeed, this is the great attainment.
لِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ الْعَامِلُونَ ۝٦١
📖 Translation Verse 61
For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work.
أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ نُّزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّومِ ۝٦٢
📖 Translation Verse 62
Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum?
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهَا فِتْنَةً لِّلظَّالِمِينَ ۝٦٣
📖 Translation Verse 63
Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers.
إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِي أَصْلِ الْجَحِيمِ ۝٦٤
📖 Translation Verse 64
Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire,
طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُ رُءُوسُ الشَّيَاطِينِ ۝٦٥
📖 Translation Verse 65
Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils.
فَإِنَّهُمْ لَآكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِئُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ ۝٦٦
📖 Translation Verse 66
And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies.
ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًا مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ ۝٦٧
📖 Translation Verse 67
Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water.
ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى الْجَحِيمِ ۝٦٨
📖 Translation Verse 68
Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire.
إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا آبَاءَهُمْ ضَالِّينَ ۝٦٩
📖 Translation Verse 69
Indeed they found their fathers astray.
فَهُمْ عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ ۝٧٠
📖 Translation Verse 70
So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps.
وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ ۝٧١
📖 Translation Verse 71
And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples,
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ ۝٧٢
📖 Translation Verse 72
And We had already sent among them warners.
فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُنذَرِينَ ۝٧٣
📖 Translation Verse 73
Then look how was the end of those who were warned -
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ ۝٧٤
📖 Translation Verse 74
But not the chosen servants of Allah.
وَلَقَدْ نَادَانَا نُوحٌ فَلَنِعْمَ الْمُجِيبُونَ ۝٧٥
📖 Translation Verse 75
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders.
وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ ۝٧٦
📖 Translation Verse 76
And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.
وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُ هُمُ الْبَاقِينَ ۝٧٧
📖 Translation Verse 77
And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth]
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ ۝٧٨
📖 Translation Verse 78
And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍ فِي الْعَالَمِينَ ۝٧٩
📖 Translation Verse 79
"Peace upon Noah among the worlds."
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ ۝٨٠
📖 Translation Verse 80
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۝٨١
📖 Translation Verse 81
Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الْآخَرِينَ ۝٨٢
📖 Translation Verse 82
Then We drowned the disbelievers.
۞ وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِ لَإِبْرَاهِيمَ ۝٨٣
📖 Translation Verse 83
And indeed, among his kind was Abraham,
إِذْ جَاءَ رَبَّهُ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ ۝٨٤
📖 Translation Verse 84
When he came to his Lord with a sound heart
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ ۝٨٥
📖 Translation Verse 85
[And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?
أَئِفْكًا آلِهَةً دُونَ اللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ ۝٨٦
📖 Translation Verse 86
Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire?
فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ۝٨٧
📖 Translation Verse 87
Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?"
فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةً فِي النُّجُومِ ۝٨٨
📖 Translation Verse 88
And he cast a look at the stars
فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَقِيمٌ ۝٨٩
📖 Translation Verse 89
And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill."
فَتَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ ۝٩٠
📖 Translation Verse 90
So they turned away from him, departing.
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ آلِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ ۝٩١
📖 Translation Verse 91
Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat?
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنطِقُونَ ۝٩٢
📖 Translation Verse 92
What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?"
فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًا بِالْيَمِينِ ۝٩٣
📖 Translation Verse 93
And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand.
فَأَقْبَلُوا إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ ۝٩٤
📖 Translation Verse 94
Then the people came toward him, hastening.
قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ ۝٩٥
📖 Translation Verse 95
He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve,
وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ۝٩٦
📖 Translation Verse 96
While Allah created you and that which you do?"
قَالُوا ابْنُوا لَهُ بُنْيَانًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِي الْجَحِيمِ ۝٩٧
📖 Translation Verse 97
They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire."
فَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَسْفَلِينَ ۝٩٨
📖 Translation Verse 98
And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased.
وَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ ۝٩٩
📖 Translation Verse 99
And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me.
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ ۝١٠٠
📖 Translation Verse 100
My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous."
فَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِغُلَامٍ حَلِيمٍ ۝١٠١
📖 Translation Verse 101
So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy.
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعْيَ قَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنِّي أَرَىٰ فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أَذْبَحُكَ فَانظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَا أَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِي إِن شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ ۝١٠٢
📖 Translation Verse 102
And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast."
فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُ لِلْجَبِينِ ۝١٠٣
📖 Translation Verse 103
And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead,
وَنَادَيْنَاهُ أَن يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ ۝١٠٤
📖 Translation Verse 104
We called to him, "O Abraham,
قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ الرُّؤْيَا ۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ ۝١٠٥
📖 Translation Verse 105
You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْبَلَاءُ الْمُبِينُ ۝١٠٦
📖 Translation Verse 106
Indeed, this was the clear trial.
وَفَدَيْنَاهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍ ۝١٠٧
📖 Translation Verse 107
And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice,
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ ۝١٠٨
📖 Translation Verse 108
And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ۝١٠٩
📖 Translation Verse 109
"Peace upon Abraham."
كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ ۝١١٠
📖 Translation Verse 110
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۝١١١
📖 Translation Verse 111
Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
وَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِإِسْحَاقَ نَبِيًّا مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ ۝١١٢
📖 Translation Verse 112
And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous.
وَبَارَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ إِسْحَاقَ ۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهِ مُبِينٌ ۝١١٣
📖 Translation Verse 113
And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself.
وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ ۝١١٤
📖 Translation Verse 114
And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron.
وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ ۝١١٥
📖 Translation Verse 115
And We saved them and their people from the great affliction,
وَنَصَرْنَاهُمْ فَكَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ ۝١١٦
📖 Translation Verse 116
And We supported them so it was they who overcame.
وَآتَيْنَاهُمَا الْكِتَابَ الْمُسْتَبِينَ ۝١١٧
📖 Translation Verse 117
And We gave them the explicit Scripture,
وَهَدَيْنَاهُمَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ ۝١١٨
📖 Translation Verse 118
And We guided them on the straight path.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِي الْآخِرِينَ ۝١١٩
📖 Translation Verse 119
And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations:
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ ۝١٢٠
📖 Translation Verse 120
"Peace upon Moses and Aaron."
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ ۝١٢١
📖 Translation Verse 121
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۝١٢٢
📖 Translation Verse 122
Indeed, they were of Our believing servants.
وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ ۝١٢٣
📖 Translation Verse 123
And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers,
إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ۝١٢٤
📖 Translation Verse 124
When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah?
أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ الْخَالِقِينَ ۝١٢٥
📖 Translation Verse 125
Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators -
اللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ ۝١٢٦
📖 Translation Verse 126
Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?"
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ ۝١٢٧
📖 Translation Verse 127
And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment],
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ ۝١٢٨
📖 Translation Verse 128
Except the chosen servants of Allah.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ ۝١٢٩
📖 Translation Verse 129
And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:

📖 Translation Verse 130
"Peace upon Elias."
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ ۝١٣١

Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
وَإِنَّ لُوطًا لَّمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ ۝١٣٣
📖 Translation Verse 133
And indeed, Lot was among the messengers.
إِذْ نَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ ۝١٣٤
📖 Translation Verse 134
[So mention] when We saved him and his family, all,
إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِي الْغَابِرِينَ ۝١٣٥
📖 Translation Verse 135
Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers].
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِينَ ۝١٣٦
📖 Translation Verse 136
Then We destroyed the others.
وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِم مُّصْبِحِينَ ۝١٣٧
📖 Translation Verse 137
And indeed, you pass by them in the morning
وَبِاللَّيْلِ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ ۝١٣٨
📖 Translation Verse 138
And at night. Then will you not use reason?
وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ ۝١٣٩
📖 Translation Verse 139
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers.
إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ ۝١٤٠
📖 Translation Verse 140
[Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship.
فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُدْحَضِينَ ۝١٤١
📖 Translation Verse 141
And he drew lots and was among the losers.
فَالْتَقَمَهُ الْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ ۝١٤٢
📖 Translation Verse 142
Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy.
فَلَوْلَا أَنَّهُ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُسَبِّحِينَ ۝١٤٣
📖 Translation Verse 143
And had he not been of those who exalt Allah,
لَلَبِثَ فِي بَطْنِهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ ۝١٤٤
📖 Translation Verse 144
He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected.
۞ فَنَبَذْنَاهُ بِالْعَرَاءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ ۝١٤٥
📖 Translation Verse 145
But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill.
وَأَنبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِّن يَقْطِينٍ ۝١٤٦
📖 Translation Verse 146
And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine.
وَأَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ مِائَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ ۝١٤٧
📖 Translation Verse 147
And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more.
فَآمَنُوا فَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ ۝١٤٨
📖 Translation Verse 148
And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time.
فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ الْبَنُونَ ۝١٤٩
📖 Translation Verse 149
So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons?
أَمْ خَلَقْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةَ إِنَاثًا وَهُمْ شَاهِدُونَ ۝١٥٠
📖 Translation Verse 150
Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?"
أَلَا إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ ۝١٥١
📖 Translation Verse 151
Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say,
وَلَدَ اللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ ۝١٥٢
📖 Translation Verse 152
" Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars.
أَصْطَفَى الْبَنَاتِ عَلَى الْبَنِينَ ۝١٥٣
📖 Translation Verse 153
Has He chosen daughters over sons?
مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ ۝١٥٤
📖 Translation Verse 154
What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement?
أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ۝١٥٥
📖 Translation Verse 155
Then will you not be reminded?
أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَانٌ مُّبِينٌ ۝١٥٦
📖 Translation Verse 156
Or do you have a clear authority?
فَأْتُوا بِكِتَابِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ ۝١٥٧
📖 Translation Verse 157
Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful.
وَجَعَلُوا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ الْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ ۝١٥٨
📖 Translation Verse 158
And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment].
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ۝١٥٩
📖 Translation Verse 159
Exalted is Allah above what they describe,
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ ۝١٦٠
📖 Translation Verse 160
Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin].
فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ ۝١٦١
📖 Translation Verse 161
So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship,
مَا أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَاتِنِينَ ۝١٦٢
📖 Translation Verse 162
You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him
إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ الْجَحِيمِ ۝١٦٣
📖 Translation Verse 163
Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire.
وَمَا مِنَّا إِلَّا لَهُ مَقَامٌ مَّعْلُومٌ ۝١٦٤
📖 Translation Verse 164
[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position.
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الصَّافُّونَ ۝١٦٥
📖 Translation Verse 165
And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer].
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْمُسَبِّحُونَ ۝١٦٦
📖 Translation Verse 166
And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah."
وَإِن كَانُوا لَيَقُولُونَ ۝١٦٧
📖 Translation Verse 167
And indeed, the disbelievers used to say,
لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًا مِّنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ ۝١٦٨
📖 Translation Verse 168
"If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples,
لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ ۝١٦٩
📖 Translation Verse 169
We would have been the chosen servants of Allah."
فَكَفَرُوا بِهِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ ۝١٧٠
📖 Translation Verse 170
But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know.
وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا الْمُرْسَلِينَ ۝١٧١
📖 Translation Verse 171
And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers,
إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ الْمَنصُورُونَ ۝١٧٢
📖 Translation Verse 172
[That] indeed, they would be those given victory
وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ ۝١٧٣
📖 Translation Verse 173
And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome.
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ ۝١٧٤
📖 Translation Verse 174
So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time.
وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ ۝١٧٥
📖 Translation Verse 175
And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see.
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ ۝١٧٦
📖 Translation Verse 176
Then for Our punishment are they impatient?
فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنذَرِينَ ۝١٧٧
📖 Translation Verse 177
But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned.
وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ ۝١٧٨
📖 Translation Verse 178
And leave them for a time.
وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ ۝١٧٩
📖 Translation Verse 179
And see, for they are going to see.
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ۝١٨٠
📖 Translation Verse 180
Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe.
وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ ۝١٨١
📖 Translation Verse 181
And peace upon the messengers.
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ۝١٨٢
📖 Translation Verse 182
And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
