- Kataba Allahu lakum: What Allah has decreed and ordained for you, written in the Preserved Tablet as His promise to you.

- Fatanqaliboo khasireen: You would then return as losers, having lost both the good of this world and the Hereafter.
Explanation of the Verse:
Prophet Musa (Moses), peace be upon him, stood before his people and called out to them with deep compassion and brotherly love, saying: "O my people! Enter the sacred land—the land of Bayt Al-Maqdis and its surroundings—which Allah has decreed and promised for you. He wrote it for you in the Preserved Tablet before your very existence, that you would inherit it and dwell in it after your enemies. So do not turn back in retreat, fleeing in fear of the tyrants and mighty oppressors who dwell there. Do not let cowardice overtake you, for if you retreat, you will return as utter losers—losing the honor of this world, the fulfillment of Allah's promise, and the reward of the Hereafter."
This was a moment of great trial and test. Musa was summoning his people to jihad—to struggle in the path of Allah against the oppressive forces occupying their promised land. He reminded them that this land was not merely a worldly possession, but a divine gift and covenant from Allah Himself. The command carried both a promise and a warning: enter with faith and courage, and you will triumph; retreat in fear, and you will lose everything.
A Call to Faith and Action:
Dear brothers and sisters in faith, this verse carries timeless lessons for every believer. Notice how Musa addressed his people with the tender words "O my people"—a call of love and concern, not of harshness or superiority. He reminded them of Allah's promise, for when a believer knows that Allah has written something for them, their heart finds rest and their steps become firm.
The command to "enter" was not merely about geography—it was about trusting Allah's decree and moving forward with conviction. How often do we, as Muslims today, hesitate when Allah calls us to action? We fear the "tyrants" of our time—whether they are internal weaknesses, societal pressures, or external enemies—and we retreat, losing the blessings Allah had prepared for us.
This verse teaches us that victory belongs to those who obey Allah's command with sincerity and courage. The land was promised to them, but the promise required their action. Likewise, Allah has promised us Paradise, His forgiveness, and His support—but these promises require us to move forward in obedience, to strive in His path, and to never retreat from the truth.
Let this beautiful call of Musa inspire you today. Do not be among those who turn back on their heels, for the loss is immense. Instead, be among the steadfast who march forward, trusting in Allah's promise, knowing that He never breaks His covenant. The sacred land of Allah's pleasure awaits those who enter with faith, courage, and unwavering trust in their Lord.
