Surah Qaf — Verse 23

On the Day of Judgment, when every soul stands before its Lord for reckoning, the angel who was assigned to record that person’s deeds throughout their worldly life will step forward and bear witness. He will say: *“This is what I have with me — a complete and ready record.”* This is the book of deeds, meticulously preserved, containing every action, word, and thought — nothing omitted, nothing exaggerated, nothing diminished. Every moment of that person’s life has been captured with perfect accuracy, and now it stands before them, fully prepared for the final account.

This statement carries a profound weight: the angel is not merely presenting a document — he is confirming that the record is exact and undeniable. There is no room for denial, no possibility of dispute, and no chance of alteration. The truth of one’s entire existence is laid bare, and the soul must face it.

The One who created you knows you better than you know yourself, and His mercy is vast enough to forgive every sin — if only you turn back to Him before that record is presented.
