Surah At-Tur — Verse 17

Explanation of the Verse:

After mentioning the fate of the disbelievers and the punishment that awaits them, Allah now turns to the destiny of the righteous, saying: "Indeed, the righteous are in gardens and delight."

This is a glad tiding to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to all believers who follow the path of taqwa — that is, those who fulfill Allah's commands and stay away from what He has forbidden. They are not merely saved from punishment; they are placed in the highest gardens of Paradise, where every form of joy, comfort, and pleasure is made available to them. They will enjoy the finest of foods, drinks, companions, and scenery — delights that no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has ever imagined.

The verse emphasizes that this bliss is not temporary or fleeting; it is eternal and ever-renewing. Unlike the pleasures of this world, which are mixed with pain, worry, and eventual loss, the bliss of Paradise is pure, untainted, and everlasting. Allah has saved them from the torment of the Fire and granted them His generous reward out of His mercy and grace.
