Surah Al-Qamar — Verse 12

Allah opened the gates of the sky with torrential, relentless rain, and simultaneously caused the earth to burst forth with gushing springs from every direction. The water from above and the water from below met together, merging into a single overwhelming flood. This convergence was not a random catastrophe but occurred by a precise, pre-ordained decree from Allah—a command that had been written and determined in His eternal knowledge. The purpose was the destruction of the disbelievers who had rejected the message of truth, while the believers—Nuh and those who boarded the ark—were saved by Allah's mercy.
