Key Words and Their Meanings:

  • Qāṣirāt al-Ṭarf (قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ): Women who restrain their gaze, confining their sight and desire solely to their husbands.
  • Lam Yaṭmithhunna (لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ): They have not been touched or deflowered; their virginity remains intact.
  • Ins (إِنس): Human beings.
  • Jānn (جَانّ): Jinn.

Explanation of the Verse:

In these magnificent gardens of Paradise, which Allah has prepared for His righteous servants, there are pure and chaste spouses whose eyes are cast down, gazing only at their husbands. They do not look at anyone else, nor do they desire anyone beyond their beloved partners. Their hearts are filled with love and devotion exclusively for their husbands, and their sight is a reflection of their inner purity and contentment.

These blessed women have never been touched by any man or jinn before their husbands. They are untouched, pristine, and perfectly preserved — a gift of absolute purity and novelty from Allah to the dwellers of Paradise. This description emphasizes the perfection of the reward: these companions are not only beautiful in appearance but also pure in history, untouched by any prior being, whether human or jinn.

This verse is a powerful reminder of the exquisite generosity of Allah. He does not merely grant His believing servants a home in Paradise; He grants them companions of unparalleled purity, loyalty, and beauty — a joy that surpasses anything we can imagine in this worldly life.

A Call to Reflection and Action:

Dear believer, when you read this verse, let your heart yearn for what Allah has prepared for His righteous servants. The pleasures of this world are fleeting and often mixed with pain and imperfection, but the delights of Paradise are eternal, pure, and beyond comprehension. Every act of patience, every prayer, every charity you give, and every tear shed in devotion to Allah is a step toward these gardens where such pure companions await.

So strive, O servant of Allah, with sincerity and perseverance. Do not let the temporary distractions of this world rob you of the everlasting bliss that your Lord has promised. Indeed, Allah is the Most Generous, and His promise is true. Let this verse ignite in your heart a deep love for Paradise and a firm resolve to earn it through faith and righteous deeds.
