Surah Al-Buruj — Verse 16

• فَعَّالٌ (Fa''āl): Doer, Performer, One who constantly and effectively executes.
• لِمَا يُرِيدُ (Limā yurīd): Whatever He wills or intends.

Explanation of the Verse:

This verse describes Allah as the One who does whatever He wills, with absolute power and no hindrance whatsoever. Nothing in the heavens or on earth can prevent Him from carrying out His decisions. His will is always executed, and His command is always fulfilled. Whether He chooses to forgive the sins of whom He wills out of His mercy, or to punish whom He wills out of His justice, no force can oppose Him, and no obstacle can stand in His way. He is not bound by any external constraint, nor does He need anyone's approval or assistance. His power is limitless, and His wisdom is perfect in all that He decrees.

This attribute of Allah brings immense comfort to the believer. When you know that your Lord is *Fa''āl limā yurīd* — the Doer of whatever He wills — you realize that your affairs are in the hands of the Most Capable, the Most Wise. He can change your situation in the blink of an eye, answer your prayers in ways you never imagined, and turn your trials into blessings. No matter how difficult your circumstances may seem, remember that the One who governs all things is not limited by any law or system. He simply says "Be," and it is.

At the same time, this verse instills a healthy fear in the hearts of those who oppose Allah. If He wills to punish, no one can protect you from His justice. If He wills to forgive, no one can hold His mercy back from you. So turn to Him sincerely, submit to His will, and trust in His perfect plan. For He is the One whose will is always accomplished, and whose mercy encompasses all things for those who seek it with a pure heart.
