Key Words and Their Meanings:

  • Yuftara (يفترى): To be invented, fabricated, or falsely attributed to someone. In this context, it means to be forged or concocted by a human being and then falsely claimed to be from God.
  • Tasdeeq (تصديق): Confirmation or verification. It means to affirm the truth of something that came before.
  • Tafseel (تفصيل): Detailed explanation, elaboration, or making something clear and distinct after it was brief or general.
  • La Rayba (لا ريب): No doubt, no uncertainty, no skepticism whatsoever.
  • Rabb al-'Alameen (رب العالمين): The Lord of all the worlds—the Creator, Sustainer, and Sovereign of everything that exists.

The Interpretation:

This verse stands as a powerful, definitive proof of the divine origin of the Quran. It declares, with absolute certainty, that it was never possible—nor could it ever be—for this magnificent Quran to have been fabricated or invented by anyone other than Allah. The very idea is impossible, because the Quran's eloquence, its profound wisdom, its scientific and historical accuracy, its perfect legislation, and its unmatched ability to transform hearts and civilizations all testify that no human being, nor all of humanity combined, could ever produce anything like it. It is beyond the capacity of any creature to forge such a Book.

Rather, this Quran was revealed by Allah as a confirmation of the truth that was in the scriptures that came before it—the Torah, the Gospel, and the Psalms. It affirms the core message of all the prophets: the oneness of Allah, the call to worship Him alone, and the promise of reward and punishment. It does not contradict them; rather, it confirms their essence and corrects the distortions that had crept into them over time.

Moreover, the Quran is a detailed explanation of the divine law. It takes the general principles and brief rulings found in earlier scriptures and elaborates on them, clarifying what is lawful and what is prohibited, and laying down a complete, comprehensive way of life for humanity. It is the final, complete, and protected revelation that leaves no aspect of human existence unaddressed.

And then the verse concludes with a resounding declaration: there is no doubt whatsoever that this Quran is from the Lord of all the worlds. It is not the word of a poet, a soothsayer, or a madman. It is the very speech of Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, sent down as a mercy and a guide for all of humanity.

A Call to Reflection and Faith:

Dear reader, let this verse awaken your heart. The Quran is not merely a book to be recited; it is a living miracle that has challenged humanity for over fourteen centuries. If you truly ponder its verses, its depth, and its beauty, you will find that it is impossible for it to be the work of any human being. It is the direct word of your Creator, who knows you better than you know yourself. He sent it to you as a light to guide you out of darkness, a healing for your heart, and a roadmap to eternal success. Open your heart to it, and you will find in it peace, purpose, and a direct connection to your Lord. Do not let doubt creep into your heart, for this Book is the truth from your Lord, and in it lies your salvation in this life and the next.

📜 Verse 35-39 — Yunus

Say, "Are there of your 'partners' any who guides to the truth?" Say, "Allah guides to the truth. So is He who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed or he who guides not unless he is guided? Then what is [wrong] with you - how do you judge?"
And most of them follow not except assumption. Indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of what they do.
And it was not [possible] for this Qur'an to be produced by other than Allah, but [it is] a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of the [former] Scripture, about which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds.
Or do they say [about the Prophet], "He invented it?" Say, "Then bring forth a surah like it and call upon [for assistance] whomever you can besides Allah, if you should be truthful."
Rather, they have denied that which they encompass not in knowledge and whose interpretation has not yet come to them. Thus did those before them deny. Then observe how was the end of the wrongdoers.
