Surah Yunus — Verse 46

• "Nuriyannaka" — We show you or make you see.
• "Natawaffayannaka" — We take you in death (i.e., cause you to pass away).
• "Marji'uhum" — Their return (to Us).
• "Shahid" — Witness, fully aware and observing.

Tafsir (Explanation):

O Messenger of Allah, Allah addresses you with a comforting and reassuring message: Whether We show you in your lifetime some of the punishment We have promised your people for their denial and wrongdoing, or whether We take you in death before you witness it, in either case, their ultimate return is to Us alone. Nothing escapes Our knowledge, and no matter when or how it happens, their end is with their Lord.

Then Allah says: "And Allah is a Witness over what they do." This means that He is fully aware of every action, word, and intention they carry out in this world — nothing is hidden from Him, not even the weight of an atom. He records it all and will recompense them with perfect justice on the Day of Judgment. If you do not see their punishment in this life, O believer, then know with certainty that you will see it in the Hereafter, where no deed is left unanswered.

This verse carries a profound lesson of patience and trust in Allah's justice. It consoles the believer who may feel distressed by the arrogance of wrongdoers and the delay of divine punishment. It reminds us that Allah's timing is perfect, and His justice is absolute. The believer is called to remain steadfast, knowing that the final word belongs to Allah alone, and that His witnessing of all affairs is a guarantee that truth will prevail and falsehood will be vanquished.

So take heart, dear believer — your duty is to convey the message with sincerity and to live righteously. The outcome of all matters rests with Allah, and His justice is never delayed in vain. Let this certainty fill your heart with tranquility, and let it motivate you to remain firm on the path of truth, for Allah is ever watchful and His promise is true.
