Translation — Tafsir
Word Meanings:
- Shurakaa (شُرَكَاءَ): Partners or associates — referring to the false deities the polytheists claimed shared divinity with Allah.
- Yakhrusoon (يَخْرُصُونَ): They guess, fabricate, or utter lies without any basis in truth.
Tafsir (Explanation):
Be absolutely certain, O humanity, that to Allah alone belongs everything in the heavens and everything on the earth — every angel, every human, every jinn, and every created being. All are His servants, under His complete sovereignty, and none of them shares even an atom's weight of His dominion. He commands as He wills and does as He pleases, and no one can question His authority.
Yet despite this undeniable reality, what do those who call upon false deities besides Allah actually follow? They claim these idols and imagined beings are partners with Allah, but in truth, they are following nothing but pure conjecture and baseless assumptions. They merely suppose that these false gods might intercede for them or bring them closer to Allah — a notion built entirely on guesswork, not on any revelation or proof.
And in doing so, they are not only guessing — they are outright lying. They fabricate falsehood when they attribute partners to Allah, for it is absolutely impossible for anyone or anything to share in His exclusive divinity and lordship. Their entire belief system rests on nothing more than illusions and self-deception.
A Call to Reflection:
Dear reader, pause and reflect on the sheer greatness of this truth: the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the Sustainer of all existence, is One and Alone in His dominion. Why would you turn to powerless idols, fabricated deities, or imagined intercessors when the King of all kings is directly accessible to you at every moment? He hears your prayers, knows your needs, and responds to those who call upon Him sincerely.
The polytheists of old built their entire religion on guesswork and lies, yet they could never produce a single proof for their claims. Islam, however, invites you to certainty — certainty in the Oneness of Allah, certainty in His perfect attributes, and certainty in His promise of Paradise for those who worship Him alone. This is the path of truth, the path of the Prophets, and the path that leads to eternal success. Embrace it with an open heart, and you will find peace that no false deity could ever provide.
