Surah Yusuf — Verse 56

Explanation of the Verse:

After years of hardship—betrayal by his brothers, slavery, false accusation, and imprisonment—Allah (God) granted Prophet Yusuf (Joseph) peace be upon him a remarkable turn of fortune. Just as He had rescued him from the darkness of the prison, He now established him with honor and authority in the land of Egypt. Yusuf was given a high position in the government, and he could settle and move freely wherever he wished, enjoying the trust and respect of the king and the people.

This verse carries a profound message: Allah’s mercy and favor are not random or arbitrary—they are granted to whom He wills, according to His infinite wisdom. Yet, this mercy is closely tied to righteousness. Allah does not waste the reward of those who do good. Yusuf's patience, purity, and steadfastness in the face of trials were not overlooked.
