Surah Maryam — Verse 18

Tafsir (Explanation):

When Maryam (peace be upon her) saw the angel Jibril approaching her in the form of a perfectly created, handsome man, she was alarmed and immediately turned to her Lord. She said: "I seek refuge with the Most Merciful from you — if you are truly a person who fears Allah."

Her words reveal profound wisdom and purity. She did not rely on her own strength or any human protection; rather, she sought refuge with Allah alone, the Most Merciful, whose mercy and power surpass everything.
