She then articulated a timeless principle of selection: "Indeed, the best of those you can hire is the strong and the trustworthy."

The daughter did not remain silent when she had a beneficial suggestion, and the father did not dismiss her counsel due to pride or gender bias.

This verse also invites us to embody these two noble qualities in our own lives. Strive to be strong — not only physically but in your knowledge, skills, and resolve — and strive to be trustworthy — in your words, deeds, and the secrets and responsibilities entrusted to you. When you combine these two, you become a person of value in the sight of Allah and in the sight of people. And when you are in a position to choose others, let this be your criterion: seek the strong and the trustworthy, for they are the best of companions in any endeavor.
