Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

  • Al-Haqq (الْحَقُّ): The absolute truth, that which is certain and free from any doubt or falsehood.
  • Min Rabbika (مِن رَّبِّكَ): From your Lord — the source of all truth and certainty.
  • Al-Mumtarin (الْمُمْتَرِينَ): Those who doubt, hesitate, or are in a state of uncertainty and skepticism.

Explanation of the Verse:

The truth about Jesus (peace be upon him) — his nature, his mission, and his story — is not a matter of speculation or human opinion. It is the truth that comes directly from your Lord, O Messenger. This truth has been revealed to you with clarity and certainty, leaving no room for doubt or hesitation. The verse firmly establishes that what has been conveyed to you is the absolute reality, and it calls upon you to stand firm upon it, far removed from the ranks of those who waver or entertain doubts.

This address to the Prophet (peace be upon him) serves as a profound reassurance and a strengthening of his heart. It affirms that he is upon the truth, and it encourages him to remain steadfast, just as it serves as a lesson for all believers: when the truth from Allah is clear, there is no place for skepticism or uncertainty. The believer’s heart should be anchored in the certainty of Allah’s word, not swayed by the whispers of doubt or the conflicting claims of people.

A Call to Faith and Certainty:

Dear believer, this verse is a beautiful reminder that Allah does not leave His servants in confusion. He sends down the truth with clarity, guiding you to what is right and protecting you from the turmoil of doubt. When you hold firmly to the Quran and the authentic teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him), you are holding onto a rope that will never break. Certainty (yaqeen) is a treasure that brings peace to the heart and strength to the soul. So, turn to your Lord, seek His guidance, and let your heart rest in the beautiful reality that the truth is from Him alone. Never let the noise of the world shake your trust in His promise — for His word is the ultimate truth, and those who rely on Him are never disappointed.

📜 Verse 58-62 — Aal-Imran

This is what We recite to you, [O Muhammad], of [Our] verses and the precise [and wise] message.
Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.
The truth is from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters.
Then whoever argues with you about it after [this] knowledge has come to you - say, "Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then supplicate earnestly [together] and invoke the curse of Allah upon the liars [among us]."
Indeed, this is the true narration. And there is no deity except Allah. And indeed, Allah is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
