Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

  • "Miryah" (مِرْيَةٍ): Doubt, uncertainty, or skepticism.
  • "Liqaa'ihi" (لِقَائِهِ): The meeting with him (i.e., Prophet Musa, peace be upon him).
  • "Hudan" (هُدًى): Guidance, a source of direction and light.

Tafsir (Explanation):

Indeed, We gave Musa (Moses, peace be upon him) the Book — the Torah — just as We have given you, O Messenger, the Qur'an. So do not be in any doubt about your meeting with Musa on the night of the Isra' and Mi'raj (the Prophet's night journey and ascension), for that meeting truly took place. And We made the Torah a guidance for the Children of Israel, leading them out of darkness and error toward the truth and the straight path.

This verse serves as a profound reassurance to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to every believer: the divine revelation given to him is not an isolated event but part of a continuous chain of prophethood. Just as Allah honored Musa with the Torah, He honored Muhammad with the Qur'an — the final and most complete scripture. The mention of the meeting between the two prophets on that blessed night affirms the unity of the divine message across all ages.

A Da'wah Reflection for the Reader:

Dear believer, let this verse fill your heart with certainty and tranquility. The Qur'an is not a book of doubt but a beacon of light. When you read it, know that you are connected to a legacy of divine guidance that began with Adam and culminated with Muhammad (peace be upon him). The meeting of Musa and Muhammad on the heavenly journey symbolizes the brotherhood of all prophets and the universality of Islam — a faith that honors all of Allah's messengers. So hold fast to this Book, for it is your guide to success in this life and the Hereafter. Let no doubt creep into your heart about its truth, for it is the living miracle that continues to guide humanity to the straight path. Embrace it, act upon it, and share its beauty with others — for that is the path to eternal bliss.

📜 Verse 21-25 — As-Sajdah

And we will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will repent.
And who is more unjust than one who is reminded of the verses of his Lord; then he turns away from them? Indeed We, from the criminals, will take retribution.
And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture, so do not be in doubt over his meeting. And we made the Torah guidance for the Children of Israel.
And We made from among them leaders guiding by Our command when they were patient and [when] they were certain of Our signs.
Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.
