Translation — Tafsir
Word Meanings:
- الصُّور (As-Sur): The Trumpet/ Horn that will be blown by Angel Israfil.
- الأَجْدَاث (Al-Ajdath): The graves.
- يَنسِلُونَ (Yansilun): They will come out quickly, hastening and rushing forth.
Explanation of the Verse:
On that Day, the second blast of the Trumpet will be sounded — the blast of resurrection. At that moment, Allah will restore life to every body, reuniting souls with their forms. And behold — they will all rise from their graves, rushing out swiftly towards their Lord, hastening to stand before Him for the final reckoning.
This scene is one of absolute awe and majesty. The very earth that held them for centuries — or even moments — will release them at the command of the Almighty. No barrier, no power, no force will hold them back. They will surge forth like a flood, driven by the inevitable call of their Creator, to meet what they have prepared in this worldly life.
A Call to Reflection:
Dear reader — pause and ponder this moment. The grave is not the end; it is merely a waiting room. Every soul that has ever lived will rise from that dust, from that darkness, to stand before the One who created them from nothing. There will be no excuses, no delays, no intercession except by His permission.
This is the certainty that should shape your life today. If you truly believe that you will rise from your grave and hasten to your Lord, then live as one who is preparing for that meeting. Let every prayer, every kind word, every act of charity, every moment of patience be a provision for that journey. Do not let the distractions of this world make you forget that the Trumpet will surely be blown — and on that Day, you will be among those who rush forth, either to eternal bliss or to a painful reckoning.
O servant of Allah — the resurrection is nearer than you think. Prepare now, before the Trumpet sounds, so that when you rise from your grave, you rise with a heart full of hope and a record full of good deeds. May Allah make us among those who hasten to Him with joy, not with fear.
