This verse is a direct address from Allah to those who heard the Qur’an yet refused to engage with it. They did not listen with open hearts, nor did they reflect upon its truths. Instead, they dismissed it, preoccupied with their worldly concerns, habits, and pride.

It highlights a painful reality: here is a Book that guides to the straight path, clarifies matters of faith and conduct, and promises salvation in this life and the Hereafter—yet its audience turns aside as if it were of no consequence.
