Explanation of the Verse:
This noble verse addresses a situation of marital discord that reaches the point of no return. When a husband and wife part ways—whether through divorce or khul‘—Allah assures them that His care does not end with their separation. He promises to enrich each of them from His vast bounty, meaning that He will open doors of provision, comfort, and even new companionship for both parties. The verse gently reminds them that no matter how painful the parting may be, Allah’s resources are limitless, and His mercy is not confined to one relationship. He can replace what was lost with something better, and He can heal the heart that feels broken. The verse concludes by affirming that Allah is *Wāsi‘*—vast in His grace, encompassing every need—and *Hakīm*—wise in all His decrees, knowing what is best for His servants even when they cannot see it. Thus, the believer is taught to trust Allah’s plan, knowing that His wisdom may turn an apparent loss into a hidden gain.
A Da‘wah Reflection:
Dear reader, this verse carries a profound message of hope for every soul facing the bitterness of separation. Islam does not leave you stranded in despair; rather, it lifts your gaze to the One who holds all treasures. If a marriage ends, it is not the end of your story—it is a new chapter written by the Most Merciful. Allah, who is *Wāsi‘*, has a provision so vast that it can fill any void, and His wisdom is so perfect that He knows exactly when to give, what to give, and how to give. So, place your trust in Him, turn to Him in prayer, and know that His promise is true: He will enrich you from His abundance. This is the beauty of Islam—it never leaves a believer without a lifeline, and it always reminds you that your Lord’s mercy is greater than any trial you face. Embrace His promise, and let your heart find peace in His wise decree.
