Word Meanings:

  • "Bil-Haqq" (بِالْحَقِّ): With truth, justice, and profound wisdom — meaning that the creation is not arbitrary or purposeless, but rather established upon a firm and just foundation.
  • "La y'alamoon" (لَا يَعْلَمُونَ): They do not know — referring to the majority of the polytheists who fail to grasp this reality due to their lack of reflection and heedlessness.

Explanation of the Verse:

In this noble verse, Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) declares that He did not create the heavens and the earth — and everything between them — as a mere game or without purpose. Rather, He created them "with truth" — meaning that His creation is a manifestation of His perfect wisdom, justice, and divine design. Everything in existence operates according to a precise and purposeful system, reflecting the greatness of its Creator and pointing to His Oneness, His power, and His ultimate authority.

The creation is not a random act or a source of amusement; it is a profound sign that calls every thoughtful soul to recognize its Maker. The heavens, with their celestial bodies and perfect order; the earth, with its mountains, seas, and living creatures; and all that lies between them — each element testifies to a wise purpose and a deliberate plan.

However, the verse notes that "most of them do not know" — meaning that the majority of the disbelievers fail to comprehend this truth. Why? Because they do not reflect deeply, nor do they ponder the signs around them. They neither hope for a reward from their Creator nor fear His punishment, and so their hearts remain veiled from the obvious evidence of divine wisdom.

A Call to Reflection and Faith:

Dear reader, pause for a moment and look around you. The sky above, the earth beneath, the stars that guide us, the rain that gives life — all of this is not in vain. Every single detail carries a message: you were not created without purpose either. Just as the heavens and earth were created with truth, so too were you created for a noble mission — to know your Lord, worship Him, and live a life of righteousness and justice.

This verse invites you to open your eyes and your heart to the signs of Allah. When you truly understand that this universe is built upon truth and wisdom, you will realize that your own existence has meaning, that your actions matter, and that there is a Hereafter where every soul will be recompensed for what it has earned. This is the path to tranquility and success — the path of those who reflect, believe, and act upon the truth.

📜 Verse 37-41 — Ad-Dukhan

Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals.
And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play.
We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know.
Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all -
The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped -
