Surah Ad-Dukhan — Verse 55

Explanation of the Verse:

In this noble verse, Allah describes the blissful state of the righteous believers in Paradise. They call upon their servants and attendants to bring them every type of fruit they desire — whether it be grapes, dates, pomegranates, or any other fruit that their hearts long for. And they do so in a state of complete security and peace.

The word "آمِنِينَ" (secure) carries profound meaning here. They are secure from the fear that the fruit will run out or be cut off — unlike in this worldly life, where fruits are seasonal, limited, and eventually perish. They are also secure from any harm the fruit might cause — no seeds to choke on, no thorns, no spoilage, no harm to their bodies or health. And they are secure from every kind of fear or danger that could disturb their joy.

This security is absolute and comprehensive. In Paradise, the believer's heart is at total rest — no anxiety about provision, no worry about loss, no fear of change or decline. Every wish is instantly fulfilled, and every pleasure is pure and lasting.

A Call to Reflection and Action:

Dear brother and sister in humanity — imagine a life where you can ask for anything your heart desires, and it is brought to you instantly, in perfect quality, without any fear of losing it or being harmed by it. This is not a fantasy or a myth — this is the true promise of Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, who never breaks His promise.

This verse invites us to reflect: what have we done to deserve such honor? The people described here are the righteous ones who lived their lives in obedience to Allah, who controlled their desires in this world, who preferred the eternal over the temporary. They sowed in this world with patience and faith, and now they harvest in Paradise with security and joy.

The door is still open for you. Every moment you breathe is an opportunity to turn to Allah, to seek His forgiveness, to do good deeds, and to strive for this eternal bliss. Do not let the fleeting pleasures of this world deceive you — they end with death, but Paradise never ends. Its fruits never run out, and its joy never fades.

So ask yourself today: will you be among those who call for every fruit in security, or will you be among those who regret when regret is of no avail? The choice is yours — and the time to choose is now.
