Surah Al-An'am — Verse 16

On that Day, the only thing that will matter is whether Allah has turned the punishment away from you. This is the "clear triumph" — not the applause of people, not the accumulation of riches, but the safety of your soul from the Fire.

So let this verse ignite in your heart a sincere desire to seek Allah's mercy in this life. How do you attain it? By turning to Him in repentance, by performing the obligations He has placed upon you, by avoiding what He has forbidden, and by striving to please Him in all your affairs. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us to supplicate: "O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and for the words and deeds that bring me closer to it, and I seek refuge in You from the Fire and from the words and deeds that bring me closer to it."

Do not let this opportunity slip away. Every breath you take is a chance to draw nearer to Allah, to earn His mercy, and to secure that ultimate victory. The door of repentance is open until the moment your soul reaches your throat. So hasten to your Lord, and be among those who will hear on that Day: "Enter Paradise, for you have been saved." That, indeed, is the clear triumph.
