Surah Al-Inshiqaq — Verse 15

The verse emphasizes that Allah's sight encompasses everything about His servant — from the moment of his initial creation, through every stage of his life, until his final return. Nothing escapes His knowledge: no hidden intention, no secret deed, no silent thought. The disbeliever lived his life in heedlessness, delighting in worldly pleasures and feeling secure from any reckoning. He imagined himself beyond the reach of divine accountability. But Allah's sight was upon him at every moment — in his joy, in his arrogance, in his denial. And that same sight will witness his state on the Day of Judgment when he is cast into the Fire.
