Surah As-Saffat — Verse 116

• وَنَصَرْنَاهُمْ (And We aided them): We granted them victory and support against their enemy.
• فَكَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ (So they were the victorious ones): They became the triumphant party, overcoming those who opposed them.

Explanation of the Verse:

In this noble verse, Allah recounts His favour upon Prophet Musa (Moses) and his brother Harun (Aaron), along with the Children of Israel. Allah declares that He granted them His divine support and assistance against Pharaoh and his mighty army. Despite the overwhelming power and resources of Pharaoh's regime, Allah's will prevailed, and the believers emerged victorious. The phrase "they were the victorious ones" emphasises that the final outcome belonged to them—not through their own strength or strategy, but through Allah's decree and intervention.
