Key Words and Their Meanings:
- أَبْرَمُوا (Abramoo) – They firmly resolved, perfected, or tightened a matter; to execute a plan with determination and precision.
- مُبْرِمُونَ (Mubrimoon) – We are the Ones Who perfect, firmly decide, and carry out a plan; the One Whose decree is unstoppable and prevails over all schemes.
Explanation of the Verse:
This verse addresses the disbelievers of Makkah who plotted and schemed against the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the message of truth he brought. They thought they had perfected their plan to undermine Islam, to extinguish its light, and to harm the Prophet. Yet, Allah (Exalted be He) turns the tables on them with a powerful, reassuring declaration: "But We are the Ones Who perfect a plan."
In other words, no matter how cunning or meticulously crafted their conspiracies may be, Allah’s plan is far greater, more decisive, and utterly unstoppable. Their schemes are but fragile threads against the unbreakable will of the Almighty. The verse is a stern warning that their plotting will only recoil upon them, leading to their own ruin, humiliation, and punishment—both in this world and the Hereafter.
This is a profound lesson for every believer: when the enemies of truth conspire, they may appear strong and confident, but their power is an illusion. Allah is the Supreme Planner, and His decree supersedes all human machinations. The Prophet (peace be upon him) and his companions faced countless conspiracies, yet Allah’s support and wisdom always prevailed, granting victory to the believers and disgrace to the disbelievers.
A Da'wah Reflection:
This verse instills immense hope and courage in the hearts of Muslims. It reminds us that we are never alone in our struggles. When we stand for truth and righteousness, Allah is our Protector and Planner. The disbelievers may gather their forces, devise their strategies, and exhaust their resources—but their efforts are futile against the might of Allah.
So, dear believer, do not fear the plots of the wicked, nor be disheartened by the strength of falsehood. Place your trust in Allah, remain steadfast upon His path, and know with certainty that His plan is perfect. He will never abandon His sincere servants. The victory of truth is inevitable, just as the downfall of falsehood is guaranteed. Let this verse be a source of tranquility and conviction in your heart, and a reminder that ultimate power and wisdom belong to Allah alone.
