Word Meanings:

  • Hājizīn (حَاجِزِينَ): Those who prevent, shield, or stand as a barrier against something. It implies actively defending or protecting someone from harm.

Explanation of the Verse:

This verse comes as part of a powerful sequence in which Allah addresses the hypothetical scenario of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) falsely attributing words to Allah. The preceding verses establish that if the Prophet were to fabricate anything against Allah, he would be seized with severe punishment, and his life-vein would be cut off. Now, this verse reinforces the absolute certainty of that consequence by declaring: "And none of you could have shielded him from it."

In other words, even if the entire human race united—every single person among you, from the first to the last—no one would be able to stand in the way of Allah’s justice or protect the Prophet from the divine retribution that would follow such an act. The word "from you" (minkum) emphasizes that all of humanity, with all its power, numbers, and resources, is utterly helpless before Allah’s will. There is no force in creation that can intervene, no intercessor who can block His decree, and no refuge that can escape His grasp.

This statement serves a dual purpose: it silences the doubters who might think the Prophet could be lying, and it reassures the believers of the absolute truthfulness of his message. If he were a fraud, Allah would have destroyed him—yet he remained protected and victorious, which is itself a proof of his sincerity.

A Call to Reflection and Faith:

Dear reader, ponder the majesty of this verse. The Creator who holds the heavens and the earth in His hand declares that no one—not a single soul—can stand between Him and His will. This is the same Allah who sent the Quran as a living miracle, preserved for over fourteen centuries, and who protected His final Messenger until he delivered the complete message.

If the Prophet (peace be upon him) had been an impostor, he would have perished long ago. But instead, Allah honored him, supported him, and made his mission triumphant. This Quran is not the word of a fabricator—it is the pure revelation of the Lord of the worlds. So let your heart open to its guidance, and let your soul find rest in its truths. For those who are mindful of Allah and follow His commands, this Quran is a profound reminder and a source of eternal success. Embrace it, and you will find a light that no darkness can extinguish.

📜 Verse 45-49 — Al-Haqqah

We would have seized him by the right hand;
Then We would have cut from him the aorta.
And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him.
And indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder for the righteous.
And indeed, We know that among you are deniers.
