Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

  • Yafsilu (يَفْصِلُ): To judge, decide, or settle definitively between two or more parties.
  • Yakhtalifūn (يَخْتَلِفُونَ): They used to differ or dispute.

Tafsir (Explanation):

O Messenger, your Lord — and He alone — is the One Who will settle all disputes with perfect justice on the Day of Resurrection. On that Day, He will judge between the believers and the disbelievers, between the prophets and their nations, and between all those who differed over matters of religion in this worldly life.

The differences among people were many: some believed in the Oneness of Allah while others associated partners with Him; some followed the truth while others rejected it; some accepted the messengers while others opposed them. In this world, the truth and falsehood may appear mixed, and the oppressor may seem to prosper while the righteous suffer. But do not let this confuse you — for Allah has decreed that the final and decisive judgment belongs to Him alone.

On that Day, He will make the truth clear from falsehood, reward the people of Paradise with eternal bliss, and punish the people of Hellfire with everlasting torment. Every soul will be recompensed exactly according to its deeds — no injustice, no oversight, no favoritism.

This verse carries a profound message of hope and reassurance for the believer: even if you see falsehood prevailing in this world, and even if you face opposition and hardship for your faith, know that justice is guaranteed. The scales of Allah are perfect, and His judgment is absolute. The apparent victories of the disbelievers are temporary, but the decisive verdict of Allah is eternal and irrevocable.

So hold firm to your faith, dear believer, and do not be troubled by the disputes and divisions around you. Your duty is to convey the truth and live by it; the judgment belongs to Allah alone. And what a magnificent judgment it will be — one that will leave every soul fully satisfied with its outcome, knowing that the Most Just and Most Merciful has spoken.

📜 Verse 23-27 — As-Sajdah

And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture, so do not be in doubt over his meeting. And we made the Torah guidance for the Children of Israel.
And We made from among them leaders guiding by Our command when they were patient and [when] they were certain of Our signs.
Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.
Has it not become clear to them how many generations We destroyed before them, [as] they walk among their dwellings? Indeed in that are signs; then do they not hear?
Have they not seen that We drive the water [in clouds] to barren land and bring forth thereby crops from which their livestock eat and [they] themselves? Then do they not see?
