Surah Ibrahim — Verse 15

And what was the result? Allah responded to their call. Every tyrant who was arrogant upon the earth, who compelled people to follow his desires, and who stubbornly rejected the truth even when it became clear to him — such a person was utterly ruined and failed completely. His power, his wealth, his followers, and his plans all came to nothing. The word *khāba* conveys a profound sense of total loss and disappointment — the tyrant's hopes were shattered, his schemes were reversed, and he was left in disgrace in this world and in the Hereafter.

This verse carries a powerful lesson for every believer: no matter how strong the forces of falsehood may appear, the ultimate outcome belongs to the righteous. The tyrant who refuses to submit to the truth, who fights against the messengers of Allah, and who turns away from guidance with arrogance — his end is destruction. And the believer who calls upon Allah with sincerity, who places his trust in Him, and who remains steadfast upon the path of truth — his end is victory and success.

Dear reader, reflect upon this profound truth: the tyrants of every era — whether they wield swords, wealth, or media power — are all destined for failure when they stand against the truth of Allah. Their arrogance blinds them, and their stubbornness leads them to ruin. But look at the messengers of Allah: they were few in number, weak in worldly might, yet they triumphed because they connected themselves to the Almighty, the All-Powerful.

This verse invites you to strengthen your relationship with Allah, to turn to Him in times of hardship, and to trust that His promise is true. It also warns you against the traits of arrogance and stubbornness — for these are the qualities that led the tyrants to destruction. Be humble before your Lord, accept the truth with an open heart, and never let pride prevent you from submitting to your Creator. Choose the path of the messengers, and you will find success in this life and the next.
