Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

  • يُبَيِّنَ – to make clear, to clarify, to manifest.
  • يَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ – that over which they differ (i.e., matters of creed, the truth of monotheism, prophethood, and the Resurrection).
  • وَلِيَعْلَمَ – and so that they may come to know with certainty.
  • كَاذِبِينَ – liars, those who utter falsehood.

Tafsir (Explanation):

Allah, in His perfect wisdom and justice, will resurrect all of creation on the Day of Judgment for a profound purpose: to make fully clear and manifest the truth regarding every matter over which people disputed in this worldly life. This includes the greatest questions of existence—the oneness of Allah, the truth of His messengers, and the reality of the Hereafter. No argument, no doubt, and no false claim will remain hidden. On that Day, the veil will be lifted from every heart, and the reality of all things will be laid bare.

Moreover, this resurrection will serve to make the disbelievers—those who rejected the truth and denied the coming of that Day—realize, with absolute and undeniable certainty, that they were liars. They swore their most solemn oaths that Allah would never resurrect the dead, and they claimed partners alongside Him without any proof. On that Day, their own eyes, ears, and skins will bear witness against them, and their falsehood will be exposed for all to see. Their lies will not merely be refuted; they will be made manifest in the most humiliating and undeniable way.

This verse carries a profound lesson for every soul: the life of this world is a test, and the differences we have—over truth and falsehood, guidance and misguidance—will not be left unresolved. Allah, in His justice, will settle every dispute with perfect fairness. For the believer, this is a source of immense comfort and hope: no truth will be lost, and no injustice will go unaddressed. For the one who turns away, it is a solemn warning that their falsehood, no matter how well-crafted in this world, will be shattered on a Day when all secrets are revealed.

So, dear reader, let this truth awaken your heart. Do not let the fleeting pleasures of this world blind you to the certainty of that meeting with your Lord. The very fact that Allah promises to clarify all disputes is a sign of His perfect mercy and justice—so hasten to the truth now, before that Day when the truth will be undeniable, and embrace the guidance of Islam with a sincere and humble heart. For on that Day, the believers will rejoice in the justice of their Lord, while the liars will taste the fruit of their own denial.

📜 Verse 37-41 — An-Nahl

[Even] if you should strive for their guidance, [O Muhammad], indeed, Allah does not guide those He sends astray, and they will have no helpers.
And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths [that] Allah will not resurrect one who dies. But yes - [it is] a true promise [binding] upon Him, but most of the people do not know.
[It is] so He will make clear to them [the truth of] that wherein they differ and so those who have disbelieved may know that they were liars.
Indeed, Our word to a thing when We intend it is but that We say to it, "Be," and it is.
And those who emigrated for [the cause of] Allah after they had been wronged - We will surely settle them in this world in a good place; but the reward of the Hereafter is greater, if only they could know.
