Surah Ash-Shu'ara — Verse 63

Tafsir (Explanation):

In this verse, Allah recounts one of the greatest miracles granted to His Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) during the moment of dire need. When Musa and the Children of Israel were pursued by Pharaoh and his army, trapped between the sea ahead and the enemy behind, Allah revealed His command to Musa: "Strike the sea with your staff." Musa obeyed without hesitation, and by the will of Allah, the sea split instantly into twelve dry pathways—one for each of the twelve tribes of Israel. Each separated portion of the water stood firm and towering like a colossal mountain, with walls of water held back by divine power, so that not a single drop spilled onto the paths. This was not a mere parting of shallow waters; it was a supernatural event that demonstrated Allah’s absolute control over creation, turning what seemed like an impossible barrier into a safe passage for His believing servants.

Da‘wah (Call to Faith):

This scene is a timeless reminder that when you place your trust in Allah and act upon His command—even when the situation appears hopeless—He opens doors you could never imagine. The sea that seemed like certain destruction became a road of salvation. Reflect on your own life: the "seas" you face—whether they are hardships, fears, or obstacles—are nothing for the Creator of the heavens and the earth. He who split the ocean for Musa can split your difficulties too. So turn to Him with sincerity, obey His guidance, and never underestimate the power of a single act of faith. The same Allah who saved Musa and his people is alive today, listening to your prayers, and capable of turning your trials into triumphs.
