Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

  • Anjayna (أنجينا): We saved, rescued, and delivered from destruction.
  • Mūsā (موسى): Prophet Moses (peace be upon him).
  • Man ma'ahu (ومن معه): Those who were with him, namely the believers of the Children of Israel who followed him.
  • Ajma'īn (أجمعين): All of them, without exception, not a single one was left behind.

Tafsir (Explanation):

After the sea had been split by the divine command, Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) saved Prophet Moses and all those who were with him from the Children of Israel—every single believer who had followed him out of Egypt. They crossed safely to the other shore on dry paths that had opened through the sea, while Pharaoh and his army were left behind. Not a single one of Moses' companions perished; they were all rescued from drowning and from the pursuit of their enemy. This was a complete and perfect salvation, demonstrating Allah's absolute power and His unwavering support for His prophets and the believers.

This verse is a profound reminder of Allah's mercy and protection for those who trust in Him and follow His guidance. When the believers stood at the edge of the sea, with Pharaoh's army closing in behind them, they felt trapped and helpless. Yet Allah, in His infinite wisdom, opened a way where there seemed to be none. He turned their moment of utter despair into a magnificent victory. This teaches us that no matter how impossible our circumstances may appear, Allah's help is always near for those who remain patient and steadfast in faith. The same Allah who split the sea for Moses is alive today, and He hears the prayers of His servants. When you feel surrounded by difficulties, remember that the Creator of the heavens and the earth can part the seas of your trials with a single command. Hold firm to your faith, for the believer's end is always victory, whether in this life or the next. And let this story inspire you to be among those who stand with the truth, for Allah never abandons the people of truth.

📜 Verse 63-67 — Ash-Shu'ara

Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain.
And We advanced thereto the pursuers.
And We saved Moses and those with him, all together.
Then We drowned the others.
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
