Translation Transliteration — An-Nisa

مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا فَعِندَ اللَّهِ ثَوَابُ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا ۝١٣٤

Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

Thawab ad-Dunya: The reward or recompense of this worldly life—its fleeting pleasures, wealth, and temporary gains.
Thawab al-Akhirah: The reward of the Hereafter—eternal bliss, Paradise, and Allah's pleasure.
Samee'an Baseeran: All-Hearing and All-Seeing—Allah hears every word and sees every deed and intention, nothing escapes Him.

Tafsir (Explanation):

O people, whoever among you seeks only the reward of this worldly life through their deeds—let them know that all reward, whether of this world or the Hereafter, lies solely with Allah. He alone possesses both realms and distributes His bounties as He wills. If you desire goodness in this life and success in the next, then turn to Allah alone and ask Him for both, for He is the Owner of all things. Do not limit your ambition to the fleeting pleasures of this world, for they are but a drop in the ocean compared to what Allah has prepared for His righteous servants.

Whoever performs deeds with the sole intention of gaining worldly benefits—wealth, status, or comfort—will receive only what Allah has decreed for them in this life, and they will have no share in the reward of the Hereafter. But whoever seeks the reward of the Hereafter, Allah will grant them both: the good of this world and the eternal bliss of Paradise. Allah is All-Hearing of your words and All-Seeing of your actions and innermost intentions. He knows the true purpose behind every deed, and He will recompense each person according to their sincere intention.

So, dear believer, purify your intention and elevate your ambition! Do not settle for the temporary glitter of this world when the treasures of the Hereafter are far greater and everlasting. Ask Allah for the best of both worlds, for He is Generous and His hand is full of goodness. Let your deeds be motivated by faith and the desire for Allah's pleasure, and you will find success in this life and the next. Remember that Allah's hearing and sight encompass everything—no sincere supplication is lost, and no hidden intention is unknown to Him.

📜 Verse 132-136 — An-Nisa

132وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلًا

And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.

133إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ وَيَأْتِ بِآخَرِينَ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ قَدِيرًا

If He wills, He can do away with you, O people, and bring others [in your place]. And ever is Allah competent to do that.

135۞ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا قَوَّامِينَ بِالْقِسْطِ شُهَدَاءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوْ عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَوِ الْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالْأَقْرَبِينَ ۚ إِن يَكُنْ غَنِيًّا أَوْ فَقِيرًا فَاللَّهُ أَوْلَىٰ بِهِمَا ۖ فَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا الْهَوَىٰ أَن تَعْدِلُوا ۚ وَإِن تَلْوُوا أَوْ تُعْرِضُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًا

O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So follow not [personal] inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.

136يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَالْكِتَابِ الَّذِي نَزَّلَ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ وَالْكِتَابِ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَالًا بَعِيدًا

O you who have believed, believe in Allah and His Messenger and the Book that He sent down upon His Messenger and the Scripture which He sent down before. And whoever disbelieves in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day has certainly gone far astray.
