Translation — Tafsir
Word Meanings:
- Khalaqaka (خَلَقَكَ): Created you, brought you into existence from nothing.
- Sawwaka (فَسَوَّاكَ): Made you well-proportioned, perfected your form, and balanced your creation.
- Adalaka (فَعَدَلَكَ): Made you upright and symmetrical, giving you a balanced and moderate stature.
Explanation of the Verse:
O human being who denies the resurrection and reckoning! What is it that has deceived you and made you turn away from your Lord, the Most Generous, the Most Bountiful, who deserves all gratitude and obedience? Is it not He who created you from nothing, giving you existence when you were merely non-existent? Then He perfected your form, making your limbs complete and well-proportioned, each in its proper place and function. He then balanced you, making you upright in stature, moderate in build, and distinct from the beasts that walk on all fours. He shaped you in the finest of forms, granting you reason, speech, and the ability to fulfill your purpose in this life. So how can you deny the One who fashioned you with such precision and care, and how can you reject the resurrection when He who created you from nothing is fully capable of bringing you back to life?
A Da'wah Reflection:
Ponder, dear reader, upon this magnificent act of creation! The One who shaped you in the womb, who gave you two eyes, a tongue, and lips, who balanced your stature and perfected your form—He did not create you in vain. This precise and beautiful creation is a sign of His infinite wisdom and mercy. He did not leave you as a mere accident; rather, He created you for a noble purpose: to know Him, worship Him, and ultimately return to Him. So let this reflection fill your heart with gratitude and love for your Creator, and let it draw you closer to the path of righteousness. For the One who perfected your creation is surely capable of perfecting your end, and His promise of resurrection and reward is true. Do not let the fleeting pleasures of this world deceive you, for your Lord is the Most Generous, and His mercy encompasses all who turn to Him in sincerity.
