Word Meanings:

  • Kalimatu Rabbika (كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ): The Word of your Lord — referring to His divine decree, promises, and the Qur'an itself.
  • Sidqan (صِدْقًا): In truth — perfectly true in all that it states, promises, and reports.
  • ʿAdlan (عَدْلًا): In justice — perfectly just in all its rulings, commands, and judgments.
  • Lā Mubaddila (لَا مُبَدِّلَ): No changer — none can alter, replace, or nullify.
  • Al-Samīʿ (السَّمِيعُ): The All-Hearing — He hears all things, including every word spoken by His servants.
  • Al-ʿAlīm (الْعَلِيمُ): The All-Knowing — He knows all things, including what is hidden in hearts and minds.

Tafsir (Explanation):

The Word of your Lord — His divine decree, His promises, and His revealed Book, the Qur'an — has reached its ultimate perfection, being absolutely true in every statement, report, and promise, and absolutely just in every command, prohibition, and judgment. There is no flaw in it, no falsehood, and no injustice. It is complete and final.

This verse carries a profound reassurance: no one — no matter how powerful or cunning — can change, alter, or replace the words of Allah. His promises stand firm, His warnings are certain, and His judgments are irrevocable. Those who attempt to distort His words or replace His rulings will fail, for Allah's decree is protected and His Book is preserved.

And He — glorified and exalted — is Al-Samīʿ (the All-Hearing), hearing every word His servants utter, whether in faith or in denial, whether in supplication or in mockery. And He is Al-ʿAlīm (the All-Knowing), fully aware of what they conceal in their hearts and what they reveal. Nothing escapes His knowledge, and He will reward or punish accordingly with perfect wisdom and justice.

A Da'wah Reflection:

Dear reader, ponder this magnificent truth: the Word of Allah is complete in truth and justice. In a world where words are often broken, promises are frequently betrayed, and judgments are sometimes unjust, here is a divine guarantee — a Word that never fails, a promise that never breaks, and a judgment that is always fair. This is the Qur'an, the final revelation, preserved by Allah Himself from any alteration or corruption.

This verse invites you to place your trust in Allah's Word. When you read the Qur'an, you are reading the absolute truth. When you follow its guidance, you are following perfect justice. No force on earth can change it, and no scheme can undermine it. So hold fast to this Book, let it be your compass, and rest assured that the One who revealed it — the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing — hears your prayers, knows your struggles, and will never abandon you. Embrace His Word, and you will find peace that nothing in this world can provide.

📜 Verse 113-117 — Al-An'am

And [it is] so the hearts of those who disbelieve in the Hereafter will incline toward it and that they will be satisfied with it and that they will commit that which they are committing.
[Say], "Then is it other than Allah I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail?" And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters.
And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah. They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying.
Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided.
