Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

He will give them in full, completely and without any reduction.
Their rewards, the full recompense for their deeds.
The wrongdoers, specifically those who commit the greatest injustice: associating partners with Allah and rejecting His messengers.

Explanation of the Verse:

This noble verse follows a discussion about the followers of Jesus (peace be upon him) and their fate. Allah Almighty declares that those who truly believed in Allah and His messengers, and who backed their faith with righteous deeds—such as prayer, charity, fasting, maintaining family ties, and other acts of obedience—will receive their rewards in full on the Day of Judgment. Nothing of their good deeds will be lost or diminished; rather, Allah will give them complete recompense, ultimately granting them Paradise. This applies to the sincere followers of Jesus who believed in him and in the truth he brought, and who remained upon that path until the coming of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), whom Jesus himself gave glad tidings of.

Then Allah states: "And Allah does not love the wrongdoers." This is a clear warning that those who commit injustice—the greatest of which is shirk (associating partners with Allah) and rejecting His messengers—are not beloved to Allah. He does not praise them nor grant them success; rather, they are the objects of His displeasure and will face His just punishment.

A Da'wah Reflection:

This verse carries a message of immense hope and a stern warning at the same time. On one hand, it opens the door of divine generosity: every sincere believer who acts righteously will find their reward with Allah—complete, perfect, and multiplied beyond imagination. Allah never lets a single good deed go to waste. On the other hand, it reminds us of the seriousness of injustice, especially the greatest injustice of all: turning away from the worship of the One True God.

Dear reader, let this verse inspire you to strengthen your faith and increase your good deeds, for Allah's promise is true and His reward is magnificent. And let it also serve as a gentle yet firm reminder to stay far from every form of injustice—in your relationship with Allah, with others, and with yourself. For the One who loves the doers of good is ever ready to welcome those who turn to Him in sincerity and repentance.

📜 Verse 55-59 — Aal-Imran

[Mention] when Allah said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to Allah alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.
And as for those who disbelieved, I will punish them with a severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers."
But as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, He will give them in full their rewards, and Allah does not like the wrongdoers.
This is what We recite to you, [O Muhammad], of [Our] verses and the precise [and wise] message.
Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.
