Surah Ibrahim — Verse 49

The Tafsir (Explanation) of the Verse:

O Messenger of Allah, on that tremendous Day — the Day when the earth is transformed into another earth and the heavens are rolled up — you will see the criminals, those who disbelieved in Allah and persisted in their sins, brought forth in a state of utter humiliation and disgrace. They will be bound together in iron chains and heavy fetters, their hands tied to their necks, their legs shackled, and they will be linked one to another in groups, unable to move or escape. Along with their evil companions and the devils who misled them, they will be chained together in these painful restraints, their faces covered with soot and darkness, their garments made of burning tar. There will be no mercy for them, no intercessor to save them, and no escape from the punishment that awaits them.

This is the fate of those who rejected the truth and followed their desires — a scene of utter degradation, contrasting sharply with the honor and bliss that the righteous will enjoy on that same Day. The sight itself is a lesson: every action in this world has a consequence, and the criminals who once roamed freely, arrogant and unrepentant, will find themselves bound and helpless before their Lord.

Embrace it now, while the door of repentance is still open, and you will never taste the bitterness of those iron fetters. Instead, you will be among those who are honored, free, and delighted in the gardens of everlasting bliss.
