Obligation of Believing in the Book (Quran) in the Holy Quran

(3) Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them,

(99) And We have certainly revealed to you verses [which are] clear proofs, and no one would deny them except the defiantly disobedient.

(121) Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital. They [are the ones who] believe in it. And whoever disbelieves in it - it is they who are the losers.

(136) Say, [O believers], "We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him."

(174) Indeed, they who conceal what Allah has sent down of the Book and exchange it for a small price - those consume not into their bellies except the Fire. And Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. And they will have a painful punishment.

(176) That is [deserved by them] because Allah has sent down the Book in truth. And indeed, those who differ over the Book are in extreme dissension.

(213) Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.

(47) O you who were given the Scripture, believe in what We have sent down [to Muhammad], confirming that which is with you, before We obliterate faces and turn them toward their backs or curse them as We cursed the sabbath-breakers. And ever is the decree of Allah accomplished.

(82) Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction.

(105) Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth so you may judge between the people by that which Allah has shown you. And do not be for the deceitful an advocate.

(113) And if it was not for the favor of Allah upon you, [O Muhammad], and His mercy, a group of them would have determined to mislead you. But they do not mislead except themselves, and they will not harm you at all. And Allah has revealed to you the Book and wisdom and has taught you that which you did not know. And ever has the favor of Allah upon you been great.

(116) Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly gone far astray.

(174) O mankind, there has come to you a conclusive proof from your Lord, and We have sent down to you a clear light.

(15) O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much. There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book.

(16) By which Allah guides those who pursue His pleasure to the ways of peace and brings them out from darknesses into the light, by His permission, and guides them to a straight path.

(48) And We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations away from what has come to you of the truth. To each of you We prescribed a law and a method. Had Allah willed, He would have made you one nation [united in religion], but [He intended] to test you in what He has given you; so race to [all that is] good. To Allah is your return all together, and He will [then] inform you concerning that over which you used to differ.

(49) And judge, [O Muhammad], between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations and beware of them, lest they tempt you away from some of what Allah has revealed to you. And if they turn away - then know that Allah only intends to afflict them with some of their [own] sins. And indeed, many among the people are defiantly disobedient.

(67) O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.

(68) Say, "O People of the Scripture, you are [standing] on nothing until you uphold [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord." And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people.

(19) Say, "What thing is greatest in testimony?" Say, "Allah is witness between me and you. And this Qur'an was revealed to me that I may warn you thereby and whomever it reaches. Do you [truly] testify that with Allah there are other deities?" Say, "I will not testify [with you]." Say, "Indeed, He is but one God, and indeed, I am free of what you associate [with Him]."

(50) Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me." Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Then will you not give thought?"

(66) But your people have denied it while it is the truth. Say, "I am not over you a manager."

(155) And this [Qur'an] is a Book We have revealed [which is] blessed, so follow it and fear Allah that you may receive mercy.

(156) [We revealed it] lest you say, "The Scripture was only sent down to two groups before us, but we were of their study unaware,"

(157) Or lest you say, "If only the Scripture had been revealed to us, we would have been better guided than they." So there has [now] come to you a clear evidence from your Lord and a guidance and mercy. Then who is more unjust than one who denies the verses of Allah and turns away from them? We will recompense those who turn away from Our verses with the worst of punishment for their having turned away.

(2) [This is] a Book revealed to you, [O Muhammad] - so let there not be in your breast distress therefrom - that you may warn thereby and as a reminder to the believers.

(3) Follow, [O mankind], what has been revealed to you from your Lord and do not follow other than Him any allies. Little do you remember.

(52) And We had certainly brought them a Book which We detailed by knowledge - as guidance and mercy to a people who believe.

(170) But those who hold fast to the Book and establish prayer - indeed, We will not allow to be lost the reward of the reformers.

(203) And when you, [O Muhammad], do not bring them a sign, they say, "Why have you not contrived it?" Say, "I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord. This [Qur'an] is enlightenment from your Lord and guidance and mercy for a people who believe."

(204) So when the Qur'an is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy.

(108) Say, "O mankind, the truth has come to you from your Lord, so whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever goes astray only goes astray [in violation] against it. And I am not over you a manager."

(17) So is one who [stands] upon a clear evidence from his Lord [like the aforementioned]? And a witness from Him follows it, and before it was the Scripture of Moses to lead and as mercy. Those [believers in the former revelations] believe in the Qur'an. But whoever disbelieves in it from the [various] factions - the Fire is his promised destination. So be not in doubt about it. Indeed, it is the truth from your Lord, but most of the people do not believe.

(102) That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal, [O Muhammad], to you. And you were not with them when they put together their plan while they conspired.

(104) And you do not ask of them for it any payment. It is not except a reminder to the worlds.

(1) Alif, Lam, Meem, Ra. These are the verses of the Book; and what has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, but most of the people do not believe.

(30) Thus have We sent you to a community before which [other] communities have passed on so you might recite to them that which We revealed to you, while they disbelieve in the Most Merciful. Say, "He is my Lord; there is no deity except Him. Upon Him I rely, and to Him is my return."

(31) And if there was any qur'an by which the mountains would be removed or the earth would be broken apart or the dead would be made to speak, [it would be this Qur'an], but to Allah belongs the affair entirely. Then have those who believed not accepted that had Allah willed, He would have guided the people, all of them? And those who disbelieve do not cease to be struck, for what they have done, by calamity - or it will descend near their home - until there comes the promise of Allah. Indeed, Allah does not fail in [His] promise.

(37) And thus We have revealed it as an Arabic legislation. And if you should follow their inclinations after what has come to you of knowledge, you would not have against Allah any ally or any protector.

(52) This [Qur'an] is notification for the people that they may be warned thereby and that they may know that He is but one God and that those of understanding will be reminded.

(9) Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian.

(43) And We sent not before you except men to whom We revealed [Our message]. So ask the people of the message if you do not know.

(44) [We sent them] with clear proofs and written ordinances. And We revealed to you the message that you may make clear to the people what was sent down to them and that they might give thought.

(64) And We have not revealed to you the Book, [O Muhammad], except for you to make clear to them that wherein they have differed and as guidance and mercy for a people who believe.

(89) And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect among every nation a witness over them from themselves. And We will bring you, [O Muhammad], as a witness over your nation. And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims.

(9) Indeed, this Qur'an guides to that which is most suitable and gives good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a great reward.

(99) Thus, [O Muhammad], We relate to you from the news of what has preceded. And We have certainly given you from Us the Qur'an.

(100) Whoever turns away from it - then indeed, he will bear on the Day of Resurrection a burden,

(50) And this [Qur'an] is a blessed message which We have sent down. Then are you with it unacquainted?

(1) Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner -

(33) And they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation.

(2) These are the verses of the clear Book.

(192) And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.

(210) And the devils have not brought the revelation down.

(1) Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a clear Book

(92) And to recite the Qur'an." And whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] himself; and whoever strays - say, "I am only [one] of the warners."

(93) And say, "[All] praise is [due] to Allah. He will show you His signs, and you will recognize them. And your Lord is not unaware of what you do."

(51) And We have [repeatedly] conveyed to them the Qur'an that they might be reminded.

(52) Those to whom We gave the Scripture before it - they are believers in it.

(53) And when it is recited to them, they say, "We have believed in it; indeed, it is the truth from our Lord. Indeed we were, [even] before it, Muslims [submitting to Allah]."

(85) Indeed, [O Muhammad], He who imposed upon you the Qur'an will take you back to a place of return. Say, "My Lord is most knowing of who brings guidance and who is in clear error."

(45) Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do.

(58) And We have certainly presented to the people in this Qur'an from every [kind of] example. But, [O Muhammad], if you should bring them a sign, the disbelievers will surely say, "You [believers] are but falsifiers."

(2) These are verses of the wise Book,

(6) And those who have been given knowledge see that what is revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, and it guides to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy.

(29) [This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.

(55) And follow the best of what was revealed to you from your Lord before the punishment comes upon you suddenly while you do not perceive,

(2) The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

(2) [This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful -

(3) A Book whose verses have been detailed, an Arabic Qur'an for a people who know,

(4) As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear.

(41) Indeed, those who disbelieve in the message after it has come to them... And indeed, it is a mighty Book.

(42) Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy.

(44) And if We had made it a non-Arabic Qur'an, they would have said, "Why are its verses not explained in detail [in our language]? Is it a foreign [recitation] and an Arab [messenger]?" Say, "It is, for those who believe, a guidance and cure." And those who do not believe - in their ears is deafness, and it is upon them blindness. Those are being called from a distant place.

(52) Say, "Have you considered: if the Qur'an is from Allah and you disbelieved in it, who would be more astray than one who is in extreme dissension?"

(3) Thus has He revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and to those before you - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

(7) And thus We have revealed to you an Arabic Qur'an that you may warn the Mother of Cities [Makkah] and those around it and warn of the Day of Assembly, about which there is no doubt. A party will be in Paradise and a party in the Blaze.

(17) It is Allah who has sent down the Book in truth and [also] the balance. And what will make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near.

(52) And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration of Our command. You did not know what is the Book or [what is] faith, but We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, [O Muhammad], you guide to a straight path -

(3) Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand.

(4) And indeed it is, in the Mother of the Book with Us, exalted and full of wisdom.

(43) So adhere to that which is revealed to you. Indeed, you are on a straight path.

(3) Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind].

(58) And indeed, We have eased the Qur'an in your tongue that they might be reminded.

(2) The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

(12) And before it was the scripture of Moses to lead and as a mercy. And this is a confirming Book in an Arabic tongue to warn those who have wronged and as good tidings to the doers of good.

(29) And [mention, O Muhammad], when We directed to you a few of the jinn, listening to the Qur'an. And when they attended it, they said, "Listen quietly." And when it was concluded, they went back to their people as warners.

(30) They said, "O our people, indeed we have heard a [recited] Book revealed after Moses confirming what was before it which guides to the truth and to a straight path.

(31) O our people, respond to the Messenger of Allah and believe in him; Allah will forgive for you your sins and protect you from a painful punishment.

(2) And those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down upon Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He will remove from them their misdeeds and amend their condition.

(24) Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?

(17) And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

(22) And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

(32) And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

(40) And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

(77) Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an

(78) In a Register well-protected;

(79) None touch it except the purified.

(80) [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.

(21) If We had sent down this Qur'an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and coming apart from fear of Allah. And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought.

(8) So believe in Allah and His Messenger and the Qur'an which We have sent down. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.

(10) Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment; so fear Allah, O you of understanding who have believed. Allah has sent down to you the Qur'an.

(11) [He sent] a Messenger [Muhammad] reciting to you the distinct verses of Allah that He may bring out those who believe and do righteous deeds from darknesses into the light. And whoever believes in Allah and does righteousness - He will admit him into gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein forever. Allah will have perfected for him a provision.

(52) But it is not except a reminder to the worlds.

(40) [That] indeed, the Qur'an is the word of a noble Messenger.

(41) And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe.

(42) Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember.

(43) [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.

(48) And indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder for the righteous.

(50) And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers.

(51) And indeed, it is the truth of certainty.

(1) Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an.

(2) It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone.

(4) Or add to it, and recite the Qur'an with measured recitation.

(20) Indeed, your Lord knows, [O Muhammad], that you stand [in prayer] almost two thirds of the night or half of it or a third of it, and [so do] a group of those with you. And Allah determines [the extent of] the night and the day. He has known that you [Muslims] will not be able to do it and has turned to you in forgiveness, so recite what is easy [for you] of the Qur'an. He has known that there will be among you those who are ill and others traveling throughout the land seeking [something] of the bounty of Allah and others fighting for the cause of Allah. So recite what is easy from it and establish prayer and give zakah and loan Allah a goodly loan. And whatever good you put forward for yourselves - you will find it with Allah. It is better and greater in reward. And seek forgiveness of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

(54) No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder

(55) Then whoever wills will remember it.

(16) Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an.

(17) Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation.

(18) So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation.

(19) Then upon Us is its clarification [to you].

(23) Indeed, it is We who have sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Qur'an progressively.

(11) No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder;

(12) So whoever wills may remember it.

(13) [It is recorded] in honored sheets,

(14) Exalted and purified,

(15) [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels,

(16) Noble and dutiful.

(19) [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger

(25) And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens].

(27) It is not except a reminder to the worlds

(21) But this is an honored Qur'an

(22) [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate.

(1) Recite in the name of your Lord who created -

(2) A Messenger from Allah, reciting purified scriptures

(3) Within which are correct writings.
